ScanaCube™

FAQ

The questions that decide a pilot.

If a claim is not on this page, do not assume it. Pricing, compatibility, and support are confirmed in writing.

How does ScanaCube™ work?

Guests notice the overhead display, scan its code with their phone, and open the digital experience you configured. That page can be a menu, a promotion, or an ordering flow if the system you connected already supports ordering. ScanaCube™ does not take the order itself.

Does ScanaCube™ replace our POS?

No. It connects a guest to a web destination you configure. It does not replace the counter, a kiosk, or the POS. If the destination is your existing online ordering page, the guest continues in that system. Whether that page talks to your POS depends on the ordering provider you already use — not on a universal integration.

Do guests need an app?

No. Guests scan with the phone they already have. There is no ScanaCube™ app to download.

How do ordering and payment work?

ScanaCube™ does not take cards, cash, or wallets, and it does not place the order. Ordering and payment happen only if the page you open already handles them through your ordering provider, under that provider’s process. A scan is not a purchase.

Can we change where the code goes?

Yes. The printed code stays on the face. The destination can be pointed at a current menu, a special, or a campaign without reprinting the cube, as long as you have a page to open.

What can a second scan do?

The same printed code can send a later scan from that browser to a different page. A first scan opens the page you set, such as the menu. A second scan can open a welcome-back offer or today’s special, without reprinting the cube. The marker is the browser, not the guest. Another phone, or a cleared browser, is treated as a first scan. A scan is not an order.

Will guests actually use it?

Some will notice an illuminated cube. Some will not scan. This site does not guarantee adoption. A pilot is the way to find out: count scans, watch how guests behave, and decide with your own numbers. A scan is not an order.

What does installation require?

It is a ceiling mount: a stationary canopy, a pipe, and the cube. The published envelope is a 45.7 cm (18 in) face, a pipe up to 38 cm (15 in), and an overall drop up to 83.7 cm (33 in) from the ceiling plate to the bottom of the cube. The cube turns about once every 24 seconds. The canopy does not. Power is a standard 110V plug or a hardwired connection. Structure, clearance, and local requirements are confirmed in a site review before a pilot. The $1,095 start is the display. Installation is quoted separately. This page is not an installation or safety manual.

What about hardware maintenance?

If the display is down, guests still have the counter, the staff, and any kiosk you already operate. ScanaCube™ is an additional touchpoint, not the only way to order. Maintenance, replacement, and response times belong in the pilot or purchase terms. They are not implied by this website.

What analytics are available?

A scan can be recorded, then the phone opens your destination. Reporting can include total scans, estimated unique scans, time, device type, and the display’s location. That is engagement with the display. It is not completed-order attribution. Illustrative demonstration data on this site is not actual restaurant performance. Do not treat a scan count as sales.

What does it cost, and how do we see it?

The display is $1,095 each for 1–4 cubes, $995 each for 5–9, and $895 each for 10 or more. That price applies to every cube in the order. It is hardware. Installation is not included and is quoted after a site review. Power is a standard 110V plug or a hardwired connection. Ongoing fees, if any, belong to the ordering page you already run — they are not an ordering subscription inside the cube price. This page does not promise payback. A demonstration or a one-location pilot is how you see it in your restaurant.
